
Smoked Salmon Crostini
Whether as a prelude to a larger meal or as a solid snack, this elegant finger food hits the spot.
Smoked Salmon Crostini
Ingredients
- 1/2 loaf French baguette
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 2 ounces water
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
- 3 1/2 ounces Alaskan smoked salmon, trimmed to size
- Sprigs fresh dill
- 1 tablespoon capers, optional garnish

Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Evenly slice bread into thin sections. Lightly brush each side with olive oil. Place on baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven.
- Meanwhile, combine cream cheese, water and dried herbs in large mixing bowl. Stir ingredients until well blended, about two minutes.
- Spread softened cream cheese on baked crostini. Top with salmon and dill. Plate and serve.
