So I brushed up on what allergy medication to use for what symptoms.
.Austin is beautiful but I call it the Allergy Capital of Texas for a reason. From cedar fever, hay fever, to just nasal funk I deal with it several months a year. Of course your doctor will make the diagnosis and some of these recommendations below are RX only.
If you have:
Runny , itchy eyes, sneezing
You should take:
Nasal steroids, Rhinocort, Flonase, Nasonex,
Nasal anthistamines, Astepro, Astelin
If you have:
Itchy, red eyes
You should take:
Allergy eye drops, Patanol, Optivar, Elestat
If you have:
Nasal symptoms
general itching
throat tickle
You should take:
Non sedating oral antihistamines, Claritan, Zyrtec, Allegra, Xyzal
If you Have
Nasal congestion
You should take:
Decongestants, Sudafed, Claritin D, Zyrtec D
